Raven Johnson

When rival teams try to inbound the ball, they are instantly faced with a formidable challenge. This comes in the form of Raven Johnson, a dynamic sophomore guard from South Carolina. Standing at a deceptive height of 5’8, Johnson is known to have astounding reach, swift footwork, and relentless defensive pressure.

Johnson’s teammates have nothing but incredible things to say about how she is on the court. "She's always there in help side, she's a great on-ball defender, always hogging down," says junior wing Bree Hall. "It's great playing with her, she' also really good at communicating."

Johnson's physical profile is nothing short of extraordinary. With a height of 5’8 and a wingspan of 6’2.5, Johnson's reach places her in the 99th percentile among smaller guards. This extraordinary reach allows her to match up against some wings, making her an invaluable asset to the team. Her wingspan, for reference, surpasses that of WNBA All-Star wing Rhyne Howard, who stands at 6’2 with a 6’2 wingspan.

However, it's crucial to note that Johnson’s impact on the defensive end of the court extends far beyond her physical attributes. Her unique ability to influence a game is a testament to her basketball IQ, quick decision-making, and her unyielding will to win. Raven Johnson is a name to remember in women's college basketball.
